So if anyone has been following .46caliber's thread and my reply within it about our various CS issues with VZW - just wanted to post a follow up rather than further piggybacking off his thread.

http://forum.androidcentral.com/motorola-droid-x/29062-interesting-interactions-vzw.html

I emailed Lowell McAdam the CEO of VZW this morning at 9:35am about my plight and received a call from his office just now at 2:30pm. It's nice to know that someone (even if it's not Mr. McAdam himself) is reading the emails and responding to concerns.

It all remains to be seen if my issue is actually resolved as his assistant said she would have to do some research and make some calls and may not have an answer for me until next week. At least I have her name and direct number if I get no further replies.

Very interesting. Usually, if anything, she would forward your email on to some customer service management and have them look into it.

Seeing great CS like this makes me not think twice anymore about getting the X on verizon as opposed to the Evo.

You know I have never had any issues with CS. Err.. I take that back. I have not had any issues from CS over the phone. The reps in the stores are the ones that I have issues with. It's like every time I go in there, I know more about phones/release dates/etc. than they do.

Its very frustrating. I don't spend much time looking on the internet and I can find out almost anything about anything from verizon, yet their employees are terrible in-stores. I know the people in there are just working and have no real desires to know that much but still.

Anyhow, moral of story, always call CS and they are the best option. Through all my BB days and soon to be android days, they are the only ones I will talk with if possible.

My experience was the exact opposite of that. 7-8 calls about the same issue was just ridiculous. Hopefully this is resolved come Monday.

There are a lot of reps who don't take their work home with them. Unlike me, I read all of these blogs and websites and learn it all to help me perform at my location.

Just remember, sales reps anywhere won't sell you what's on the way, we sell what we have now. It's the way any business will work. If we sold what was coming, we wouldn't sell anything :)

I've been with VZ since they were Airtouch. For me, their CS "had" been top notch until 2 weeks ago. I had an issue with a new D2, but my local VZ CS managers wouldn't approve an exchange. I don't know whatever happened to their "Worry Free" guarantee. It's not there, period. I was not completely satisfied with the new device I received. Current VZ is that the VZ I knew before anymore, especially they are charging $35 restocking fee for all returns.

Cell phones bills are crazy nowa days. I have 5 lines on my bill and 4 of them have the $30.00 data package. For internet??? are they crazy????? how could it possibly cost that much!!!! I mean come on thats outrageous. why not 30 bucks for the whole fam....... ugh cell phones these days. Thats about 1,500 bucks a year just for internet. Not even talk or text.

FINALLY....it's resolved and VZW credited me back my $317.99.

No real explanation of why 4 different supervisors neglected to call me back when they all said they would - other than "they're doing an internal investigation of it".

At least I got my refund back and and apology. Hopefully no more issues with VZW moving forward.

WOW! mighty nice of them to throw in that apology for all your troubles

I have owned my own business and let me tell you, when I screw up even the littlest I took care of my customers and I can not even tell you how much more business that got me from word of mouth. But I was not as big as VZW, I guess when you get that big you can crap on people and it doesnt matter

Yep - I own my own business and I wouldn't be around long if I treated people the way VZW has treated me thus far. But like you - my business isn't nearly the size of VZW.
