I have a question that I am hoping the developers can help or give suggestions for a solution, I have been testing out a number of roms lately but a number of the roms do not have a working Mobile Hotspot... I am running Gigantis rom now and when I install the Hotspot app and attempt to run it I run into a notice posted below and they just runs but never starts app.... Has anyone seen this before and due they know a work around?

If you want you can PM any info or links you may have...

This will be appreciated..

Why not try a ROM with Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot built into it... LTB v2.5 has it built in... you don't need a 3rd party app???

I get no warning.

Thanks for suggestion but I like the Sense 3.0 rom and Gigantis has been working smooth for me, LTB isnt a Sense rom and uses LP, I like sense interface and do not want to use a 3rd party launcher. .

Ugh great third party app is called barnacle you can find it in the market, I have used it before and it works great

Really!?!?

Ok... I guess that would have been nice to know on your first post. Might want to try ssethv's suggestion.

By the way you do need a Launcher... so on a Sense ROM you are using Sense's Launcher... which is what I'd call a 3rd party launcher.

I have the unlimited mobile hotspot on my account and the 3rd party apps appears to be blocked by carriers and isn't as reliable of a connection, I use this for business reasons and I need a reliable connection because I video conference and transfer large files to laptop for meetings and all the 3rd party apps have been erratic at best. I can video conference from phone fine and transfer files to unit and then transfer to laptop so the connection at phone isn't a issue but I have only had a reliable connection with using stock Hotspot with laptop.

Keep in mind that the devs aren't working with an official source code for Gingerbread. If you need the Verizon hotspot feature then you should try out some froyo based ROMS.

I might have to go back to Das BAMF Sense 3.0 RC4.9 because I was able to get it to work and also I have ran into other Sense 3.0 roms that had the Mobile Hotspot functioning...

Time to test a few more....

Sorry I got use to think that Sense 3.0 is the most popular roms.... Also Sense is a UI not a launcher but each user views things their own way,,,, Thanks for feedback..
