So I am in need of a call recording app for my Atrix. Yes, I know the laws, Yes..it is legal in my state...as long as one person(regradless of who) knows the call is being recorded. I am looked all over the place, google and even a thread on here, and it all comes back with nothing. I would have commented on the previous thread but it will full of legal stuff and no good information on call recording.

Apparently the simple answer is "buy another phone".
Word is that Motorola omitted a critical portion of the Android code, which allows the call audio stream (in and out) to be saved as an audio recording. And without that code, apparently there will never be a "simple" call recorder app for the Atrix and the other Droids.
Making these the perfect phone for narcoterrorists who want to ensure their phones can't be bugged easily. And making life needlessly more difficult for those of us who might have a legitimate need to document calls.
Interim solution? Buy an Olympus digicorder with an inductive loop, since the Atrix is hearing-aid compatible that ought to work. Or shop around for a phone with a less important defect.

This was confirmed by one of the app developers.
If you think paying a third party to intercept and bridge your calls is "works", or you think that playing the call audio over the speakerphone and recording both sides of it that way "works", sure, there are apps that work.
But there are none that simply record both sides of a call without interupting something or requiring something, that other phones don't need. There are no simple call recorders that can WORK on the Atrix.
You think otherwise? NAME ONE. Don't say "the market", NAME ONE. You can't.

How about a voice recorder and then placing a call on speaker phone. No need to get all beside yourself either....

And broadcast whatever your business is, to whoever is within earshot.
There's also never been a voice recorder that CLEARLY records speakerphone, much less speakerphone AND MIC, at the same time.

"search the" is not an answer unless you're starting off by presuming no one else has heard of the search function, or the market. And when there is nothing on the market--it's an even worse answer.
But we can still be friends, if you promise:
1) To complain to Motorola and demand an answer on the point, not "we don't make applications"
2) To complain to Google, that Motorola appears to be in violation of the Android license, by removing a basic library function, and as such should be denied the use of the Andoird OS until they restore it.

Dude, you are taking this the wrong way. As a community we try to help eachother and come up with new idaes to solve problems that the manufacturer or OS makers have not addressed yet. There might be times such as this one in which we are not gonna find a solution. But is not really anybody's fault either way. Peace please.

Searching the market yields no workable results. Point me in the direction on where to file the complaints. I enjoy my Atrix, but it is just a black eye on the device. I have a replacement phone on the way already...the mic is muffled, and the viberate is overly weak. Let's not hope it is a trend...or it might be goodbyeatrix hello iphone 4gs

Anyone's guess. Google makes themselves hard to contact, but you can probably find a contact for their legal department, and ask them if this omission violates the Android use terms. If it does, they're required to take action. The Android terms of use (2.2 and 2.3) are also available online but not so simple to read. No, I don't hav URLs for you, but they're out there.
Motorola? Has more contact addresses online, they're not totally scared of customers, but good luck trying to get a straight answer from them. Although, if you notified their legal department that you were going to ask Google to revoke their Android license if this does prove to be a violation...they must get perturbed.
