call rejected stright to voicemail

me and my partners phone have recently started have this problem where call will just go straight to voicemail without someone even being near the phone,

first we will know about it is we get a text saying " you have missed a call from *persons name* this is a call alert from O2"

ive looked through settings but cant find anything that would make any differnce,

please help because with me being an agency driver ive lost work over this issus

I'm over in the States, and over here when this occurs it's usually an issue with the network (from my experience). I'd contact O2 and ask them for support.
