call screen timeout too short!

when on a call, the screen dims after a few seconds and i see no way to adjust this.
this is super annoying when on a call and have to do touch tones.
any way to fix this?

I don't like it either. That, and I am having a hard time answering calls.

If you are holding the phone against your head, it should activate the screen within 2 seconds of moving away from your head. If you are not getting that behavior, you may need to do a status test on the proximity sensor.

When on speaker, the screen will eventually dim (10 seconds?) but any touching of the screen brightens it back up.
