Question I have a Galaxy Nexus for Sprint why is it that when someone calls my phone that only half of the caller id picture shows up, but when I answer the call the entire picture shows up? Do I need to recrop the picture and make it smaller or what please help and or advise me what to do to fix the issue.

I'm also very frustrated with this!

I was playing with the Galaxy Nexus in the store. If there's no caller ID photo attached to a contact, you see this big generic icon on an incoming call. That makes me think an actual photo will also take up that nice large space on the phone. So I took a photo of myself, cropped it and then attached it to a contact. When I called, the photo comes out wide and short - quite ridiculous looking and nothing like I cropped it to be.

I don't want a full screen caller ID photo, but I just want it to take up the exact same space as the generic icon does when there's no photo attached. Has anyone else figured this out? Sounds like a minor issue I know, but it's very important to me and a deal-breaker if I can't figure it out!

Thanks!

No you don't need to re-crop it, but as I've seen you can't fix that either. That seems to be the way they intended it. They want to show you as much of the picture as possible, but they also don't want to make it tough for you to not see the answering function. Thus why that part is overlayed in black until you answer the call. Doing a re-crop would only result in the picture getting re-sized to fit the entire screen. Which would then make it worse. Plus, this is just speculation for me, but I think they wanted to do it that way so then when you have a friend call it looks like they're peeking over the edge of the black in a fun kind of way.

Hope that helps.
