Caller screen not appearing while on a call with someone else

Ever since the OTA update last week I noticed that when I'm on a call with someone and I get a second call in and try to back the phone off from my face to see who it is, the screen stays dark. If I hit the power button and wait about 3 seconds, the screen will finally light up and show me who is trying to call in but it is very inconvenient. It didn't use to act like this. I could simply pull the phone away from my face, the screen would display and I could see who was making the second call. Anyone else notice the problem?

yes, my screen goes dark when on call, even briefly pushing power button the screen comes up for a second then goes dark again.
I need a fix!

Same here. Sometimes it cycles 4-5 times on/off before I can finally see the screen.

My wife has been having the same issue and we are not sure if it was the j16 update or not since she just got the phone a week before that update.

Same issue going on here. Dont think there will be a fix for it, possibly with the 2.2 update but somehow i doubt it.

Tis a small problem that only happens when I get another call, the cycling 4-5 times happens to myself as well.

Easy to put up with for now, but will become increasingly more annoying as time goes on. Cmon Samsung.
