Camera app can't save photos - S8+

All of a sudden, my camera app, SimpleMobileTools, can't save captured photos and notifies me to that effect when I back out of the app. I've been using the stock Camera folder for storage, and my phone has plenty of room. The app can store videos. he standard camera app has no issues and can store photos and videos just fine. Anyone have a clue?

Go to Settings>Apps, select the app, tap Permissions, and make sure it has Camera and Storage permissions. Also try Clearing Cache/Data from the app. If that doesn't help, try emailing the developer, in case it's a known issue: hello@simplemobiletools.com

Thanks. The permissions are set correctly, so I emailed the publisher.

"the app has been rewritten from scratch recently, there are still some glitches. Ill try fixing them as soon as possible."
