Camera App recomendations

I'm not very happy with the camera app on the 6P, I'm finding that night time photos are really inconsistent and even well lit photos sometimes have the wrong focus. I was really happy with the pictures on the N5, supposedly this is a much better camera but so far the photos have been worse. Its definitely a software problem not a hardware problem because it can take good pictures when it's in the mood to.

Has anyone used an alternative camera app that they are happier with?

Thanks for that pointer to the Android Central article, I've already seen it however it's more of a list of apps without going into much detail. I'd love to hear about peoples actual experiences. I'm not looking for full manual control, I'm really more interested in apps that do a better job of basic picture taking. For example yesterday I was taking some cheesecake photos, in this case actual cheesecake not Betty Grable type cheesecake. If you look at the picture the cheesecake is slightly out of focus and the edge of the oven is in focus even though I had selected the cheesecake as the focal point.

I've been using Pro Shot for a bit now. The author responds on forums personally and went so far as to purchase a new Nexus to work specifically on its features. No complaints so far
