Was wondering if the camera is a least as good as the S4 camera. I have the S4 (Verizon) and have not been really pleased with the phone as a whole (stuttering, meh battery, occasional freeze ups etc...). It does have a good camera...and that is important to me. I was hoping the G2 was at least as good if not a little bit better. Anyone use both that could compare? Thanks!

I had the S4 for about 2 weeks and did find the camera very good. With that said, my experience with the G2 has been even better. The G2's camera is better in low light and takes very detailed pictures with no edge enhancement. The pictures tend to look more like they've come from a dedicated digital camera. Although the S4's camera was very good, I did find them a bit over-sharpened at times. I think it's safe to assume you certainly won't be taking a step backwards with the G2 camera and virtually all reviews on the G2 will say the same thing.
i had the VZ S4 as well, not missing it at all, maybe the occasional drama shot, but overal i think the camera is better.

A good camera is important to me too so I have been looking at various reviews etc. From looking at pics on the web it seems like the S$ takes great pictures when there is enough light but falls apart with low light. THe G2 takes much better pictures with low light because it has OIS

The cameras look to be very similar as far as performance with the G2 being a little less vivid.

i happened to do a gs4 vs G2 comparison yesterday..i lvoed my gs4 camera and honestly thought it was better...until i actually did side by side comparisons. good god, teh G2 kills the S4. however, the S4 video camera kills the G2. eh i take more pics than videos, so whatever!

WoW! thanks for the compares. Are you sure the S4 lens was clean? those S4 picts look worse than the iphone 3GS, and I don't remember my S4 looking that bad. LG G2 blows it away if lens was clean.
How does the camera compare to the iPhone and new motorolas?

to the poster above...Motorola's are GREAT phones with AWFUL camera's. The Moto X and new Droids are no different. The day when they can combine the two will a be a wonderful day indeed.

I asked myself the same question hahaha and I proceeded to wipe it down and then take the shots I posted. I didn't remember the s4 being so bad, especially in low light.. but damn it really is. the g2 is just a better cleaner picture. I'm enjoying it. also, intelligent auto mode rocks for night shots.
