Since I think the last update (at least its where I can say I think it started) I seem to be having issues with photo quality - light being picked up to brightly.
Ive made adjustments, as well as went back to stock settings and it doesnt seem to make a difference. I can really see a difference in quality

See the examples below - you can see that with any light its too bright. The pics attatched are taken in cloudy light, not to sunny
Anyone have some suggestions?
This one is done before the last update - and seems to be fine to me. Sunny day no clounds

Have you tried lowering the brightness a bunch and fooling with the iso? I'm not a pro photog or anything like that, but I see what you're saying. You should also try to use a third party camera app from the Play Store and see if you can replicate the results. If they changed the camera software in the OTA, a third party camera may solve your problem for you.

The other thing to make sure is that the lens is as clean as possible. That can really alter the way light comes in. Make sure there is no dust or smudging any where near it. The other thing that I noticed recently was that some how my camera was set to "macro mode" which I didn't do (very possible my kids did whilst mucking with my phone), but it definitely changed my photo quality by having that engaged when you're not trying to take close up photos. You could also try altering the white balance as that may make the photo appear less bright and not as over exposed.

Otherwise I agree with above, a third party app may help but it's hard to know for sure if it is a software issue or not.

Good luck.
