Saw this video and was actually surprised by how well it came up against the pixel. I thought the camera fell into the 'good enough' category but looks like it's better than that.

New Oneplus 3T just got rumored to have the same sensor as the Pixel. Ill def upgrade if true

I believe that the imx398 sensor that Oppo developed with Sony, may be more advanced than the sensor in the Pixel. The new sensor has an advanced auto focus system, plus it is 16mp vs 12.3mp in the Pixel

Thats awesome. And isn't Oppo the parent company? So makes it even more likely to be on the next device? Sounds like it might be released as soon as next month. Guess ill just keep my OP3 as a backup if that happens

The gallery that comes on the OP3 looked pretty slick actually in some videos. Looked like it had a dark background which I love

I use my phone for pictures for work and at home. I immediately edit them on my MacBook when I got home each night (just using google photos in a browser). I then put them into corresponding albums. I wish I could do that and have all the changes happen on the NATIVE OP3 app. In reality, I will prob just have to keep using the google photos app in order to see the changes I make on my MacBook reflected on my phone.

have you tried using snapseed to edit your photos? It has a lot of nice tools and you can then edit your images on the phone.

but those changes won't be reflected on google photos. Basically the problem I am facing is integration. For exampled, when I had my iPhone 6s, I would just get home and make all my edits and organize albums in the MacBook photos app. Wakeup in the morning, and all the changes are exactly the same on the phone.

Would you switch back to your iPhone? Only asking as I'm still considering switching to OP3 from mine

For sure No. Im loving android. Used to spend hours of my life trying to jailbreak my iPhone just do to stuff that takes 10 seconds on stock android. The hardware has also fallen behind in my opinion. If the iPhone 8 is a major/improved redesign, THEN ill reconsider. Until then I'm sticking with android.

And even if I ever came back to iOS, I will keep my OP3 or OP3T as a backup device likely forever

Do you think the 1+3t camera could actually be anywhere as good as the Pixel? This questions for you also Jack92029. Those Pixel pics look pretty amazing.
