Hi everyone.
I have had my LG G5 since it was released and quite love the phone. I am however one of those people who loves switching up their phone (far to often) but the major thing I look for is camera quality. So far the LG G5 has one of the best cameras that I have used...however I've got the "new phone itch" and was thinking about getting the google pixel. Has anyone used the camera on it, is it better than the G5, worth switching? Or not enough notice so stay put.

Here is a pretty neat tool I stumbled upon recently: Photo Compare Tool - GSMArena.com

The upper image on the right is from a G5, the lower image is from a Pixel XL. Use your mouse to move the viewfinder around in the larger image on the left to see what that small area looks like in photos taken by the G5 and the Pixel XL.

The PIxel initially looks brighter but the ISOs are so different that this is not a good comparison, IMO.

With over 6 thousand uploads to Instagram..And lots to Flickr and other social media, I've gotten the best results from my G5 . The manual mode to the wide angle have proven that this phone IMO(past phones - flagships Blackberry, Samsung,Lg) has given me the best results for printing and uploading. I recently purchased an app to video in manual mode that took me off the v20 "itch".. Bought an extra battery on Amazon and called it a day

Hello sir. What settings in manual mode do u use? I use manual mode and try to adjust the numbers, i just cant get it right and so pics on manual mode is still crappy. So i stick to auto.

Hey, Crabby! Nice shots.

Sorry! But I like the G5 shot better. (the Pixel shot is turned 90 degrees to the left for some reason.)

Both are great shots tho.

Boy! Phone cameras have come a long way. An unbelievably long way in just a few short years.

So far im pleased with the camera on this phone. It has a few general faults but the cameras are more impressive than others I have used.

I took that this fall at a local park in wide angle.

And this one at the top of Hawk Rock with my old Galaxy S5 which took good pics too but had no wide angle option.

Night Shots I use a Mini Tripod and my ISO I crank it down as far as I can and open the shutter speed as long as I can without blowing out the photo
