Hey all,

I noticed that the camera still won't allow you to use the flash EVEN when the phone is plugged in if the battery (even thought it is charging) is very low.... Odd.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Matt!

This phone is a battery pig and it drains even when you have it plugged in . I might return for a non 4g device can't even get a half day out of battery .

Probably because the flash and camera take more power than even the charger can supply. On my Desire, there were times my battery still drained, even with the thing plugged in.

Also, have you changed the power profile to performance? Just a thought, don't know if that would work or not.

Just silly coding written into the kernel. HTC has been doing this for some time. The phone doesn't care if you are plugged in or not. At a certain percentage, you simply cannot use the flash. It's something that will be disabled with custom kernels in custom ROMs. But for now, its just an attempt for the phone to save battery. One that isn't exactly intelligently coded.

Rabble rabble rabble.

Okay, so I have a Samsung tablet WHICH DOES NOT HAVE A FLASH. Still does it.
Really annoying.

Is there anyway to make this stop? It is doing it on Android Version 6.0.1 on Samsung Galaxy S6.
