Camera Focusing Issues

My camera keeps focusing in and out whenever I try to take a photo. I have cleared the cache from my camera app and still does it. I have tried downloading a different camera app and it still does it. I have had my phone for a year and have all of the updates. Any other suggestions?

It sounds as if the camera module has gone bad - it will have to be replaced.

It's a cheap part - but the labor to open and close the phone is a lot more than the camera. (Unless you want someone inexperienced to destroy the phone - experienced people want to get paid for their experience.)

I highly suspect your camera lense is scratched and your camera is trying to focus on the scratches. My wife and I are both having this problem now. New lenses aren't too expensive, and I bet it is possible to replace the lense without taking the phone apart...
