So I love this phone, I love my case and my tempered glass screen protector. What I don't love is the crazy amount of scratches on the camera glass on my 2 week old device! Ughhh. There is no way I'm alone on this!

I noticed the glass back scratched quite easily. I imagine the camera glass would also scratch easily with it being flush. Do you have a case?

It's a coating that can be polished out. Also, you aren't alone, theres a huge thread about it about 10 threads down.

Best bet, polish it out with polywatch and use a dbrand camera skin to protect it.

Bro what color is your phone?
Thou I have G6 since a month... Blue color no issues here... As said its on the coating... U can polish it off...

What I don't understand is why is the coating there in the first place. Does it serve the same purpose as a layer of plastic during handling?

If I had to guess I'd say it's to protect the glass from scratching. People who have removed it haven't seen any adverse effects so I doubt it's a glare prevention or something.

It's weird though, like with me, I used my phone without a case for two weeks and I have a very thin case now, and my phone is the black one..

I can tell you without any doubt there were some bad batches. My first one was trashed and it happened when I cleaned it. My 2nd one was excellent, 3rd one was excellent, 4th one got a few scratches, 5th one has been excellent.

I ended up putting a dbrand lens skin on my 5th one to be safe.

Before anyone asks, yes Ive had this phone 5 times, mainly because each time Ive tried to walk away from it I end it buying another one and once was for a price match. I've also had 2 S8's, an S8+ and now the unlocked S8. Ive got a problem and theres no help in sight so dont judge me.

Honestly I haven't lost any money so far. I've been in the local T-Mobile store so many times they've stopped charging me the $50 fee. The 2 I bought over the phone didn't have a restocking fee so I've only lost it once on the G6 and Once on the S8+ but the price match balanced that out.

If he gave you money that would make him an enabler because you have a similar addiction.

I guess, though my reasoning for making a switch had to do with saving money on the T-Mobile payment plan while simultaneously upgrading my wife's phone.
