Hey everyone, when we put our naked phones down on a table sunny side up, isn't that camera lens cover susceptible to scratching? Is it made of GG 4 as well? I know it is slightly recessed but only looks by about .5 mm or so, maybe a but more. Thoughts?

The lens cover, to the best of my knowledge, is NOT Gorilla Glass. It's more frail, but not too frail. That little bevel around it does give it some protection, but if you put it down right on top of a bed of nails, it's gonna get scratched.

Poor design. Under no circumstances should a phone rest on the camera lens. At least with the UAG case, it prevents just that.

Posted Via Galaxy Note Edge. Yea, the phone is perfect...

No phone does, they all have a rim around it, but as thin as phones are going now, it's been hard not to keep the camera raised from the rest of the body of the phone. And yes, the Apple phone has a raised lens too (and past models have it flush to the backplate, so it's even easier to scratch). Having a receded lens is better for protection but can only be achieved with a thick phone body or a weird shape (like some of the Motorola phones of last year, with a thin bottom and a thick top).
