I tried a different type of test. I applied pressure using a door key on LG V20s, G5s, and on Samsung S6s, S7s and S7Es. The results were all the same... Broke every lens regardless of of camera lens shape. Personally, I think Iphone does a better job by making the target area much smaller on their camera glass.
