Camera not working

I've been googling for a while trying to find a solution to this but no one seems to have the same problem. My camera has just suddently ceased to take pictures- the app starts and appears to take a picture, but if you try to look at in in the gallery the image comes up black with a grey triangle with an exclamation mark. I don't recall updating my phone recently or anything.

I did try installing another camera app, and when that tries to take a picture the entire app shuts down.

Hoping someone here can tell me what's going on!
