Camera Problem

I have been having a problem with my camera when I take close up pictures.. It will autofocus when its focusing have a great picture but then become blurry... Any ideas why?

Are you using the dedicated camera button or on screen button?

Long pressing to get focused then releasing to get the pic or just hitting the button?

You'll need to switch to Macro mode for it to focus close up. I think it's under Scenes where you can switch to portrait mode, sunset mode, etc.

I have used the micro and tried both the screen button and the button actually on the phone and it is still very blurry

A few example shots may help. Macro photography is challenging with a real camera, very small movements translate into huge ones when you're very close to the subject. Especially if you can focus on the screen my guess is that you just need to be very still when taking the shot itself, for me that means half-pressing the shutter to focus and slowly rolling over the shutter button the rest of the way to take the shot. For others this may be a gentle touch of the on-screen button.

Another trick is to make sure you've got plenty of light, this will reduce the shutter time and minimize hand shake. A gooseneck lamp is handy for this if you've got one laying around.

jdbower I have a camera question and wanted to see if maybe you know the answer.

every time I go back to use my camera it always goes back to widescreen under picture resolution in the settings. I always have to change it back to 8MP, is there any fix so I dont have to keep changing it back. I don't remember it doing that on froyo.

Put the camera widget on a screen of yours and open it through there and it should retain the settings you want them at. Why does it do that?, beats me.

My camera started being blurry when I got the GB update. My camera is essentially useless because it doesn't focus. I can take a generic picture of the sky or something, but anything with detail or words is blurry as hell.
