Subject says it all.

I had one on it, but the case I have doesn't fit properly with it so I took it off. I have a Otterbox as well, but I wanted a case that allowed for my to wirelessly charge.

How many people actually use camera protectors?

I do not. I stopped after using them on my Note 10+ Ultra (or whatever it was called, lol) after looking at pictures very closely and I noticed a degradation in using a protector over the camera lens. It wasn't really noticeable with the average picture, but I didn't like to interfere with the camera in any way. Also, the way the cameras are designed now, without any 'camera island' - I feel that damage to the camera is uncommon if you have a case. I guess there's a reason why in most screen protectors, there is a cut out for the front camera lens. Anyway, since then I've not (knock on wood) had any issues with scratches, or other damage with the camera lens.

The case I have has a raised lip slightly higher than the camera. I took the camera protector off. Will see how it goes :)

I did get Samsung Care on the phone, so worst case I get it repaired if I damage it. I'm usually pretty careful with my phones, I don't remember the last time I damaged a phone - just overly paranoid!

I really think it's it's not that easy to scratch up the camera lens and you have Samsung Care, so I think you'll be fine. The case protects it from flat surfaces and I think for most that is adequate.

Got rid of the camera protector. My fears (AKA paranoia) has been quashed. :)

I have a set on my S23U. Are they NEEDED, probably not, they were sent to me to try and I have them on still as they do not really help or hinder to be honest.

Case is more than enough.

Too much, over protective. After all it's just a phone.

I take my cases off half the time so it looks weird when it came in as a package. First and last I ordered one.

I have one. But I don't think it's necessary.

I read that for long distance videos on the back cameras, there are microphones under the rim of those lenses. So if you do "use protection", it'll interfere with the audio recording for taking relatively distant videos.

I use one, it came with my screen protectors.

I'm not actually using it for protection though, I'm using it to even out the "P" cutout in the back of my case because it triggers me.
