camera question

I thought focusing the camera automatically takes the picture ? My g3 doesn't do this. It focuses quickly but I still have to hit the camera button to snap the shot.

Am I mistaken or...?

You can do it either way. Hit the three dot icon, when the options and shutter button are on screen, you have to hit the shutter button to take a pic. Hit the three dot button again, the screen shows no setting options, at this point tap the screen to focus and snap the pic.
