My camera randomly stops recording. A recording session can last a while or 3 seconds. It's so random and I miss out on a lot of moments because recording just stops. It's as if someone keeps pressing the stop button I have never ever reset my phone before but may have to do that. Had it since launch. Any solutions or anyone in a similar situation?

I would suspect a defective, corrupt, or counterfeit SD card. Does this happen with any SD card?

Only one I have. It's been working for almost a year no problems until recently. Probably just going to factory reset. It's a samsung 64gb one.

I'd unmount the card, reboot and test the camera without the card to rule out the card before going through the hassle of a factory reset....
Micro SD

Agree with muzzy996. Also, microSD cards are pretty cheap now, especially ones that are 8 GB or smaller. You could probably find one for $5 to $8 at your local electronics store, and try it out.

I have a Samsung note 4 and a Samsung 64gb SD card... Its been working fine until recently I figured it was a bad update or something but if we both have the same SD card maybe that's the problem... It just randomly stops recording..

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen in Safe Mode as well? The steps for the 626 should work for your model: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-22682

You may also want to create a new thread with your question in the proper forum, since this thread is in the Note 4 forum.
