It seems the camera may have lackluster results. Anyone have any info on this?

This is could be a deal breaker for me because I use my current phone for pics.

I've seen / read the camera can have some great results, but miss and get average shot at best. There seems to some coloration issues, and noise especially in lowlight. But with a great amount of natural light / light you can get some great shots.
I use my phone for a camera too, we pretty much all do. From the pics I seen it's livable.

Sounds like it could be improved through software then.

Well I don't think anyone has tried it with other camera apps to see how the hardware performs itself. But yeah it seems fixable through software. I think people say the HDR is too much, and how it post- produces the pictures, so yeah seems like software mostly.
