Twice this week my battery had a rapid decline. Once the Google Messenger app was using 40% of the battery and the details showed the camera sensor was active 9 hours. I only used the camera from the app once briefly. This was before the recent firmware update. I updated the firmware and wiped cache. Today it was dropping again and I noticed the Amazon app was at 10% quickly, details again showed camera sensor active for over an hour. I used it once to scan a product code from the app. Anybody else having this issue or know how to fix it? Closing the app, force stop, and wiping it away does not fix it. I have to reboot the phone to stop it.

I've got the same problem... even after several firmware updates...
Asus Zenfone 2 still stuck at Android ver. 5.0
Horrible performance.
Battery drains from Flashlight and Amazon APP - both using camera sensor for several hours.

when deleting both the ANDROID OS starts hogging the battery....

HORRIBLE PHONE !!!

Any solution yet ?

I manually updated to the official release of 6.0 and I haven't had the issue with the camera sensor, yet anyway. I wouldn't say the regular battery drain with 6.0 is any better than I had with 5.0, but I haven't had the rapid drain and camera sensor issue.
