Camera since pie...

I don't use the camera much but when I do, I just want to do simple things!!

Since the Pie update, you now have to slide between camera, video, slow mo etc. I am sure there are a lot of people that like it that way but it drives me crazy! I do a lot of videos of my furbabies out in the sun and it sux to try and get in the shade or cover the phone so I can change the settings!

I have tried a few camera apps and they have all been the same. Is there a setting that I can change to have it like Oreo again or does anyone know what app I can try?

Its just a lil annoying!!

This is one quirk that I dislike about the new update. I hate being in Camera mode and not having a quick button to push to record video - instead I have to remember to swipe it, then start to record. Minor annoyance, but sometimes I miss what I want to record because I haven't gotten use to it.

I think the best option would be to change the order of the camera modes so video is just one swipe away from regular photo mode. You can also turn off some of the modes you would never use.

Open the camera then follow:

Settings>camera modes>edit modes

From here you can place photo and video next to each other. You can also set the camera to open in the last mode you were using when in the camera modes part of the settings.

I too like the old camera interface. This interface looks like peer pressure from apple and Google.

I found an app that is very similar to the way it used to be!! I spent hours installing apps on my Note 8 until I found it... I added it to my Note 9 and did some more testing... so far so good Its a lil clunky looking but I don't have to swipe!!

The camera is better i have that Google pixel 3 camera processing app installed on my note 9 and when compared to samsaug new processing I give the slight edge to samsaug but on certain days the pixel 3 picture app is awesome!!
