Camera software tweak?

Many reviews say this phone has a so so main camera, low light not so good, moving objects blurry, etc.

Is it possible to install a different software to run the camera to take better pictures?

I have zero exposure to android, so im still learning, but i thought that since the hardware is supposed to be pretty good it must be a software issue.
Or is this one of those things where you need to wait for LG to update the software?

tips so far in this forum have been to use manual mode with the LG camera and download the Google camera for HDR

^^ yes. Use that google software all the time and you will be very happy. If you need the wide angle, just switch over to the default app.

So as these apk's get updated, you need to delete the one on your phone and then download a later version? I'm assuming the top link in red is the one to get.

So, who's APK's are y'all trying?

ivanich's v1.4_v3 (Android 7 only): a "flash and forget" app; or:
BSG's v4.0 (Android 7/8+): more features, but you have to configure the app yourself; or:
Arnova's 5.1.016_v1.3 (Android 7/8+): same as BSG's v.4.0, but based on the new Google Camera 5.1;

Are you going with the recommended settings?
