I got my Galaxy S6 edge yesterday and I'm new to anything Samsung so can anyone tell me how to turn off my camera sound when I take a photo? Also, I would like a generic sounding ringtone like ringing but all I have is the musical ones that annoy me.

For the camera shutter you have that option in your Camera app's settings (the little gear icon). For ringtones, if you don't like the ones that come preloaded (and I believe one of them does sound like a normal telephone), you can always download your own or use Zedge, a very popular source for ringtones, notification sounds, and wallpapers.

You can silence Galaxy S6 camera shutter sound by entering vibrate mode or mute mode. Once your phone is in either vibrate or mute mode, the camera shutter sound will be silenced.

The only options I have in the camera settings is -picture size-videosize rear- tracking af-
video stbilisation- grid lines-location tags- review pictures- quick launch- voice control- volume keys function-
reset settings

That's odd. Do you have a carrier version of the phone? Maybe the carrier disabled that option? I don't have the S6 Edge, I have a Note 5, but the software should be almost identical... so not sure why you wouldn't have the Shutter Sound option in your camera Settings...
