Hi all
I'm looking for an app that lets me take a steady (time-lapsed) video while walking with my phone strapped to my chest.
I can record video normally but the camera obviously sways from side to side with every step. Wearing the 'phone on my head is not an option and I'd rather not fork out for a hatcam.
ISTM that with the sensors on a modern phone, an app should be able to work out the average direction the phone is pointing over a five second rolling window, and save one video frame each time the phone crosses the average/middle direction. Then I could walk along a street and get a speeded-up video of the route without the viewer getting seasick.
A less elegant alternative would be to take a normal video and use image recognition to get the same result.
Can anyone recommend an app to do either of the above? I'd be happy to drop a fiver on such an app (any budding devs looking for an idea? ... hey you never know
