Camera Troubles

Just asking if anyone else is having issues with their camera? Mine seems to not work from time to time. I hit the shortcut button or use the one in the menu and it blinks on then off. Just wondering if anyone else is having issues.

I started having this issue yesterday. It started getting worse today. I called verizon and they are sending me out another one. I have had a lot of issues with froyo. I did a factory reset before putting ota on it and have done two factory resets since.

I hope that my next phone works better. I had almost zero problems with 2.1.

Working on Droid X number 2 and not really happy. This phone is awesome, but seems to have a few issues. The camera will just turn off on its own.

Just got my X on Friday. No issues except the camera. Very slow, poor pics in low light. No zoom in video is beyond lame. The camera app refused to open after a couple pics until I powered off and on.

Yup, mine does it every once in a while too. I factory reset it thinking that would help and it didn't.

I have recently seen the same thing...I cannot take a picture. The camera app blinks on then goes away...ever since Froyo.

The other issues were annoyances...this one is a big pain...

I am curious, did you add any apps to the phone to enhance your camera experience? Or have you considered maybe one of your market apps is causing this problem?

If you have the time, try a factory reset and do not add any apps. Try using the camera for a bit with the phone stock. If it functions without issue, then start researching to see which app is causing the conflict.

I went through this issue with my Storm and found out it was a theme that was jacking up my phone.

My camera is working fine.

I have not added any camera/photo Apps at all since factory reset. I have maybe 5-6 Apps on phone. Skyfire, Google voice, handcent, nfl mobile, homerun and lp+. I don't think that any of these Apps would cause a camera issue.

My new x will be here in a couple of days.

Had the same issue the camcorder when I went on a trip. I noticed the phone was searching for my location to tag the video before i'd hit the record button. But id hit the button before it found me and down the app went. I removed the tag feature and now its all good.
