Camera vs Moto x pure?

How is the camera on this compared to last year's Moto x?

I haven't used an X Pure before, but I did have a Turbo 2 and that had exactly the same camera. The Z Play's camera is significantly better than my T2's camera, so it should be better than the Pure's. It has the same issues, such as performing worse in low light and being more susceptible to blur due to the lack of OIS, but in all situations the picture quality is a notch above.

Actually the Turbo 2 camera was considered slightly better than the MXPE because of its faster processor.
