Just wondering, is it possible to take a screenshot on the RAZR Maxx like on the iPhone/iPod?

No, it doesn't have that feature built in.

Maybe when ICS hits they will leave in the ability to do screenshots like the Galaxy Nexus..

I use No Root Screenshot It. It works, but a bit of a pain because you need to reconnect to a computer every time you reboot the phone.

There are apps that will allow to take screen shots withing the app. Depending on what you are wanting to capture, they may meet your needs.
For example: Go SMS pro has a feature that allows screen shots of a page of text conversation. The Boat Browser lets you take screen shots of individual web pages.

I'm sure there are others.
