Can a 2048 x 1536 resolution tablet, for example the nexus 9, able to view 1440p videos on the youtube app? Or its only 1080p for now.

Do a search for 1440p videos and watch the one for Batman Vs Superman. When it is playing click the option button in the right top corner, click quality and see if it is playing in 1440p.
