Can a LG Vortex 2.2.2 be rooted???

I am having a hard time rooting my phone, can a LG Vortex running version 2.2.2 even be rooted??

If it is anything like the 2.2.2 update for Optimus S, you'll probably need to find an older version, but you realize this is the Optimus S thread, so we most likely won't know that much about your phone. It might have fastboot for example, which makes a lot of the stuff we do here pointless.

Moved to the vortex section. Vortex users should have more accurate info than Optimus S users. Given that Vortex ROMs exist, i'd venture a guess it has to be possible to root otherwise theres no point in making a ROM.

Have you tried using gingerbreak on 2.2? We have it working on both the Optimus S and the Optimus C. It's definitely worth a shot.

I am having the same issue. When I start Gingerbreak the phone automatically un-mounts the SD card . . . grrrr. Any ideas or suggestions?

I have a rooted 2.2.2 LG Vortex and I used Gingerbreak, try it, it works
