Can a Verizon LG V10 VS9902BA that is on straight talk network be rooted?

I just changed carriers and I was wondering if now that I have done this, can my phone be rooted to get rid of the bloatware that is on the phone.

The V10 was able to be rooted quite some time ago. See link below. Mods if this link is not allowed please let me know and I'll remove it.

Hope this helps you out. I have the AT&T variant but never bothered to root it. Thinking about it now that it's just a backup though.
