can anyone give me an honest review of the camera?

try lowering the sharpness all the way.

if speed is an issue, you can lower the MP setting, and it should take pictures faster.

I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this, but here is my 2 cents

The camera is better than my BB curve, and significantly worse than my BB Tour. Colors way off, always fuzzy, forget closeups without the exact correct light, any movement in the back ground and it gets blurry, tried to take a picture of my dog walking and it was blurry. I have a 2 year old and love to take lots of pics, but this camera wont cut it. The video is the best I have ever seen. I have even spoken with HTC about it and nothing is set wrong. BB tour was point and shoot everytime. This camera has lots of adjustments and maybe if I started to play around with them, I could get somewhere better

I will go to the verizon store and take a couple pics side by side with the tour/bold and Incredible and see what I come up with......sorry but thats my opinion. Maybe I got a bad camera, but my friends with droids (not necessarily the incredibile) also have crappy cameras too.

Those posted pics look really good, and most if not all camera phones do better outside, but I cant say I have taken one good picture outside (comparivetly)
i think youre doing it wrong. and yeah theres a million settings

im not sure what all the problems are. mine takes really good pictures but thats just me. even in almost complete dark night time with just little lights outside i used one of those fun effects and shot a pretty sweet shot of my friend.

ALL THE PICS IN THIS THREAD LOOK GREAT!! i WENT TO THE VERIZON STORE TOOK PICS SIDE BY SIDE WITH THE TOUR, EMAILED THEM TO MYSELF, AND i ACCIDENTALLY TOOK THEM A FEW FEET APART,, SKEWED THE RESULTS, BUT THE TWO LOOKED REALLY SIMILAR. I WOULD SAY ON THE htc'S BEST DAY (RIGHT CONDITIONS WITH LOTS OF NATURAL SUNLIGHT), ITS CLOSE TO THE TOUR, ON THE TYPICAL DAY, ITS WORSE. THE TOUR IS MY BENCH MARK. IT WOULD BE BENFICIAL IF PEOPLE WHO STATED IT IS THE BEST CAMERA THEY HAVE USED, IF THESE PEOPLE STATED WHAT THEY ARE COMING FROM.

something is wrong with your caps lock man.

i'll be posting some pictures once i get my magnetic lens in the mail via slow boat 9 week ship time from Hong Kong. lol

I can tell you that I took a trip to Alaska with out bringing my camera and had to use my Inc for all picture taking duties. it did great! As long as I wasn't trying to zoom in on something small everything was good. Here is a sample. This is a shot of Columbia Glacier in Prince William Sound.

I took these at a dark bar last night, and I am really happy with the way that they turned out. The only thing that is hard to capture is motion, but uhh... I think that is all cameras.

I think this is a great camera. only thing i haven;t figured out is how to turn on the flash with video. Other than that a great camera.

I'm having trouble getting my pictures to look sharp when I blow them up to full size on the computer. Do you guys use the default camera settings, or do you fiddle with contrast, sharpness or saturation? They look fine until I blow them up then there is some fuzziness.

for a cell phone camera - the Incredible is well.....incredible

will it compete with an 8MP point & shoot? its probably close enough to save you $200 on a P&S

will it compete with my DSLR? nope but it's a lot smaller and easier to carry around for those spur of the moment captures

there are also apps out there that can make the Incredible camera more fun to use (adds effects, frames, adjustments etc)

Check my signature for some examples of shots I've taken with my Incredible and the Vignette application
