Can anyone help me get my Moto E proximity sensor working?

Moto E proximity issue

My moto E proximity sensor not working during calling, But it works only for the specified sleep time(15 sec) what we are setting in Menu > Settings > Display > sleep > 15 seconds after the specified time the proximity is not working i.e Display is not getting on automatically whenever i took it away from my ears after the S.time.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a case or a screen protector? If a case partially covers the proximity sensor, or if a screen protector is dirty over that area, it could fool the sensor into thinking it's still up against your ear after you take it away.
