Lollipop upgrade problem on my Nexus 5

Since I upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop have these problems while my phone is charging:

1- The background (I choose in my picture album) dissapears for the default Android 5.0 background.

2- When I push the right side button the screens go on and off.

3- If I get a call, the phone rings and/or vibrates put I can't see who's calling unless I unplug the phone from the USB cable.

Is there other people with the same problems? If yes have found a solution?

have not experienced any of those, try wiping cache partition...i wiped/formatted before proceeding with Lollipop and mine has worked flawless (except for App specific issues).

Welcome to Android Central!

The background (I choose in my picture album) dissapears for the default Android 5.0 background.

Do you mean that after you select a photo from your picture album to be the wallpaper, it stops being the wallpaper after some time?

When I push the right side button the screens go on and off.

Do you mean the Power button? How does the screen go on and off--is it flickering? Obviously, the Power button will cause the screen to sleep, then come back on if you press it. Can you clarify?

B. Diddy:

Yes my screen is flickering when I push the Power button.

Exactly the picture I chose from my album to be my wallpaper stop being the wallpaper after a while.

Chezm:

Didn't you loose everything you had by formatting?

Since I already installed Lollipop will I get a second notification to install it if I format the cellphone

Wiping the cache partition in recovery is not a factory reset - it will not wipe data or your OS.

Also, since you have already installed Lollipop, even if you did a factory reset, it won't get rid of Lollipop - it will give you a brand new clean install of Lollipop (you won't go back to kitkat). You will lose data of course with a factory reset.

Also, if it reassures you, I wiped the Cache Partition shortly before, and soon after, the update....I understand that some regard this as good practice. Whether it is I don't know for a fact, but even if it does no good, it certainly seems to do no harm.

Re: Lollipop upgrade problem on my Nexus 5

I finally found the problem. It seems that if the default language is set to French (Canada), Android 5.0 doesn't work properly

Thanks to everyone for the help

It's hard to believe that the wrong system language would have led to the problems you mentioned in your original post, though. Still, glad to hear things are working better!
