Can apps cause screen issues?

For those of you who saw my last thread, that's what I'm referring to. I got my new new phone, but I'm afraid to turn it on and set it up again. Tell me I'm paranoid and it had to be a manufacturing problem.

Apps can cause issues but usually killing the app would fix it. However, from your post, it does look like a defective panel or connector rather than an app.

I think your best bet is to just get it replaced under warranty ASAP, plus, at this early stage, you know you'll get a new unit and not a refurb one :)

Oh I got a brand new device. I wasn't taking a refurb for an answer.

Good to hear you got a new phone. Now set it up and enjoy it. I had to get a replacement today too. Took me five days to find one in stock. Had this crazy spot showing up in the images with the front camera. Something was on the sensor or lens. Just got done setting it up like I had my first one, took hours... Good thing is I got an extra charger and cable now, didn't have to turn the first one back in. :)

I installed HD Widgets and after seeing your post I'm afraid to open the app. :p

Lol. Don't be. I'm sure that's not what caused it. There have to be tons of people using that app and no one else is saying it's causing an issue.
