Is it possible to move the camera icon from the initial screen when turning on the phone to somewhere else besides the lower right hand corner? If so how? Thanks in advance. Phone is Samsung Galaxy S5.

If you mean the camera icon on the lock screen, I'm not sure, but I do know that there are a lot of cool 3rd party lock screen apps in the play store that you can use that don't have the camera icon there. On mine, you drag a panel over from the right to get to the camera (and other apps).

If you mean the lockscreen, then no, you can't change it from the stock one. But if you want, you can replace your lockscreen with a 3rd party solution like Widget Locker, which allows you to customize your lockscreen to your liking, including the camera shortcut position or any other widgets you'd like to place there.
