I use Ultimate Voice Recorder. By default it will not record until you turn it on. Plus I have not had any problem yet.

Thanks, but apparently it needs to use the speakerphone to record conversations, like all the other "call recorders" out there.

I'm seeing this question pop up in many Charm related threads around the internet.

One thing to keep in mind when recording calls, depending on what country you're in, it's downright illegal to do so UNLESS you either: notify at least one party or both parties are notified and consented. In countries like Finnland, you can't do it at all, period.
