Can "Google voice typing" be made the default entry method?

I stumbled across Google's incredible Google voice typing yesterday while playing around with Swype and pulling down the status bar, choosing input method and selecting Google voice typing.

The recognition is instantly, just like Google Now, but I can't make it the default. If I pull the status bar down, I can choose it, but it will only work for that session of speaking/typing.

The phone automatically reverts to Swype. I love that Google's interface has a small keyboard icon next to it, so I can switch back to the keyboard if I choose to do so.

Under Settings and Language and Input, if I tap Default I only get Samsung Keyboard, SlideIT (I installed it), and Swype. No Google.

Any ideas? Thanks and Merry Christmas! :)

I think that the phone only recognizes it as an input method, not a keyboard and that's why you can't default it

Bummer. I hope they can address this in a future update. Thanks for the feedback. :)
