Can I buy a Moto X 2nd Gen from the US (eBay) and use it in India?

I'm getting some pretty attractive prices for Moto X 2nd gen and the same phone in India would cost more. Is it possible for me to buy these phones and use it here in India? If so, what parameters should I look at (charger, network bands, etc) ? Please help me out

I wouldn't worry about the charger too much. that's easy to find (all the phones will have the same power supplies, its the adapter that handles all the conversion)... It is the network bands you need to concern yourself with. The bands on the X have to be supported by whatever carrier you are looking to use. The information should be readily accessible on sites like phonearena (or just google searches for that matter).

Ok, here's what I did. Tell me if I'm wrong-

The phone on sale is an AT&T one.

I'm fine with the GSM and UMTS bands (they match), but could you help me in figuring out whether 4G would work with this phone?

LTE Bands for the phone: 2/3/4/5/7/17/29 (as per Wikipedia Moto X (2nd generation) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

LTE Bands in India (for my carrier) 4G LTE Bharti Airtel 2300Mhz (as per GSM World Coverage Map- GSM Country List by frequency bands)

2300Mhz is band 40, which the Moto X does not appear to support.

The AT&T X supports bands 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 17 for LTE.

Your carrier uses 2300GHz, so as LeoRex said, you won't be getting 4G. You'll also have to get it unlocked. (The 1085 [China] would also cover band 40.)

Alright so I guess 4G won't work but 2G and 3G will work fine, right?
