Can I change my Moto X 2014 Status Bar on ATT?

Moto X 2014 Status Bar on ATT

I was wondering if I could somehow change the LTE status bar icon to be the stock one not the ATT one?

There are several ways to do it, but all the ones I am aware of require root and a custom recovery.
