Can I Change The Back Cover?

I just ordered my MXPE through Amazon and opted for the plain black backing. I was just wondering if the other varieties, if available, could be easily swapped out like my current LG G4.

Ebay has some back covers that are out there. Not sure what they are using to apply them.
