Can I choose a which device/number my calls and messages go through?

I have a Gear S2 (with it's own phone number) and a note 4 phone (also with it's own phone number). Can I choose to have my note 4 phone number be the default for text messages and calls?
Here's the catch...My Gear S2 is a USA phone number and my Note 4 is a Canadian phone number. I currently live in Canada and don't want to incur additional charges when replying to texts that come into my Gear S2 (forwarded by bluetooth connection from my Note 4 phone).
