Can I copy camera card files from usb reader to the mini SD card?

I have a new Tab 2 10.1 tablet and I've ordered the USB & SD Connection Kit from Samsung but I don't know how long it will take to arrive to experiment before a trip. At a minimum I need to take SD camera cards (4GB, 8GB and 16GB - 3 different digital cameras) and plug them into the tablet using the USB Connection Kit and a card reader. Then I want to copy the files (jpg and video) to the mini-SD card in the tablet. I'm hoping that won't be too slow of a process and I can do that even without any wi-fi connection while traveling.

I want to avoid having to copy to the tablet and then onto the mini-SD card as that would be slower and each re-save of the jpgs can degrade them. I want to view the jpgs and videos on the tablet but not work with them till I have access to Lightroom and PS. I'd love to also upload to cloud if I have enough wi-fi connections along the way as 2nd backup.

Is this doable? What apps do I need to use? Thanks for any help as I'm trying to assess whether this will work for a trip without having all the parts to try out yet. If not, I'll need to return the tablet and work on a laptop solution.

I use dropbox. Works great on all my devices and you can set up a separate folder for your Tab.

Thanks, Xume. I will be using Dropbox some but I often won't have access to Internet while we are traveling. I need backup solutions with the tablet that don't depend on the Internet.
