This may be a dumb question, it may have been answered before, if so I'm sorry.

Can I remove the files after I flash (ROM file, Kernel, Build prop) any or all of the above or are they needed after flashing?

It may be a good idea to keep it on there. In the case that anything goes wrong you can just reflash.

Thanks for the fast responses Beezy and Nick.
Would you recommed keeping all of it or can I keep just the ROM. The reason I ask is that I'm still using the stock 2GB card and I'm running our of room.

My personal preference is to keep the latest copy of the ROM I am using (or my previous one if I'm trying a new ROM) just in case I have issues and I'm not near my computer. I just like to have the option to reflash if I end up in a bind.

This is pretty much what I decided to do, I kept the ROM but cleaned off the other "blocks" for the Lego ROM.

I suggest running without an sd card at all. What? It was the only option not taken :)

Leave them, delete them ... Personal preference. The best way I can answer is by saying they are not critical for the phone to operate.
Hello Ksmithinny :) I mistakenly flashed thunderrom and just read today that it's not compatible with the new vc update. I was wondering why I don't have a 3g only 1x. Anyway how do I remove or unflash (I don't know the correct term) the rom? Thanks so much

I have a 512mb card that have a copy of all 3 (latest versions) of the roms for emergency use. I started doing this back when i had a G1 and almost borked my phone. I like nandroid but a clean install workes for me. and you can get a 512mb card CHEAP! Just keep all your important flash files on there.
