Can I disable auto-brightness while taking videos?

I have a Huawei Y7 Prime with Android 8.1.0. I've been using it for vlogging but it has a feature that has been irritating me no end.

While I'm taking a video, the video's brightness changes automatically. When I turn my head, for example, the image darkens and when I look back at the camera, it brightens. I want to disable that but I can't find the setting to do it.

I unchecked the automatic brightness in the Display setting but it has no effect on the camera.

You may be able to long-press on the relevant part of the viewfinder image to show an icon for locking the focus and the exposure. Do you have such an option?

I'm surprised with auto brightness off it still changes, possible it's the way the camera app is with software in the device, can try Safe mode.
