Can I factory reset while rooted?

If I'm rooted and have some bloatware frozen via Titanium Backup, can I do a factory reset in that condition, or do I have to un-freeze and un-root first?

Also, If I can do it while still rooted, do I maintain root or have to re-root after the reset?

I would unfreeze the bloat first. I have successfully wiped data/factory reset in CWR and it went fine and I was still rooted.

Factory reset...resets all data and apps. As if the phone was new. But rooted of course
